APC has a proven track record strategizing, developing, and executing on-brand public relations campaigns to build awareness and create buzz in the consumer and trade communities. Since its launch in August 2009, APC has experienced great success with a wide range of clients, including book launches, magazine brands, startup websites, and corporate and not-for-profit events.
Before launching APC, Amanda Potters was the Public Relations Director for Real Simple, the extremely successful Time Inc. lifestyle brand. She was a core member of the Real Simple management team and played an integral role in the magazine’s expansion into events, books, special issues, digital, television, and products. During her nine years with the brand, Real Simple experienced a tremendous increase in awareness and circulation, due in large part to robust press coverage, including consistent exposure on national TV. Real Simple was the only magazine to be included on Adweek’s prestigious “Hot List” for seven consecutive years.
Prior to joining Time Inc., Amanda Potters worked in Corporate Communications at Scholastic Inc., the global children’s media company, where she contributed to such projects as the popular Harry Potter book series, the launch of the Scholastic Store in SoHo, and The Scholastic Art & Writing Awards.
APC benefits from Amanda Potters’ established relationships across all forms of media, her strong understanding of the importance of brand identity in PR campaigns, and her marketing expertise.
Amanda Potters received a BA in Communications from The University of Pennsylvania.
